I was greeted yesterday when I got home with the package I ordered from Westminster. In case you forget, here’s the pic and list of what I ordered:
- Prophecy and Hermeneutics: Toward a New Introduction to the Prophets by Christopher Seitz
- A New Testament Biblical Theology: The Unfolding of the Old Testament in the Newby G. K. Beale
- Is There a Meaning in This Text? The Bible, The Reader, and the Morality of Literary Knowledge by Kevin Vanhoozer
- Introducing Theological Interpretation: Recovering a Christian Practice by Daniel Treier
- Biblical Exegesis in the Apostolic Period by Richard Longnecker
- The Faith of Israel: A Theological Survey of the Old Testament by William Dumbrell
Along with that, today in the mail I got two books from New Growth Press:
- Body Broken: Can Republican and Democrats Sit in the Same Pew? by Charles Drew
- Loving Well (Even If You Haven’t Been) by William Smith
I hadn’t requested these two, but they both like they’ll be good practical reads. I’m particularly interested in Smith’s book and for reasons I may explain later, it was rather providential that it showed up in the mail today!
