Everyone needs a place to process thoughts and feelings. I originally used blogging for that purpose, going all the way back to Xanga and then MySpace. I graduated to WordPress, went through several iterations, and now here we are.
Somewhere along the way, I got stuck in my head, and this blog was 75% book reviews, as you can see from this list. The rest of the posts were usually part of some longer series, a list of which you can see here.
Recently though, I’ve wanted to get back to my roots and use this blog for personal reflections. If you’re interested in more refined thoughts, subscribe to my Substack. If you’d like to listen to me talk about the intersection of the health and spirituality, you can listen to my podcast. If you’d like to watch me get in shape, check out my YouTube channel.
By day, I’m the Director of Content & Education at NewCity Orlando, By night, I’m a private music instructor for Providence Music Academy in Dallas, and my own music academy here in Florida. I also write music and have even recorded three albums, all available here for your listening enjoyment. 2022 might just bring about the writing phase of a new album after a nearly 20 year hiatus.
My wife Ali and I met freshman year of college and eventually fell in love and got married, which you can read about here. We don’t have kids, and probably won’t (something I’ll explore soon), but we do have the cutest dog you’ve ever seen, who happens to be the goodest boy as well. You can find him on Instagram.
Finally, if you like what you see, you should connect with me elsewhere, either on
